Description: Billy Southworth Boston Braves professional model hat with his personal 48 World Series press pin and related material c.1947-51 Appealing style hat done in dark blue with red brim and red button accent. The "B" team logo is applied on front and matches the style which was used starting around 1947. "Mgr. Southworth" is chain stitch embroidered on the interior band and there is no other tagging. Well preserved with nice use and some light general age related wear. The hat emanates from the Southworth Family and is being offered for the first time. Also includes Southworth's personal 1948 Braves World Series press pin, vintage c.1920s-30s Burke photo (stamped on back) of Southworth with the Cardinals, (2) vintage photos of Southworth and his wife, 1951 Bowman Southworth card (GD), period Braves business cards from (2) front office members, and some additional ephemera.
