Description: Babe Ruth autographed (enhanced) store model baseball bat c.1940s. Louisville Slugger model 40 B.R. bat with Ruth facsimile signature in the barrel measures 35" long which is noted with a "35" factory applied stamp in the knob. It has been signed "Babe Ruth" on the back of the barrel however the signature was later traced over. It has long been in the family of the original recipient and is being offered for the first time. Scattered mild use and some surface wear and a 1983 Babe Ruth postage stamp was affixed. A fine alternative to an otherwise prohibitively expensive Ruth autographed bat.
