Description: Rare George Sisler professional model baseball bat c.1922-25 (PSA/DNA GU6). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Sisler facsimile signature in the barrel measures 35.75" long and weighs 33.3oz. Outstanding use is evident throughout with ball/contact marks visible on the hitting surface. A handle crack has been secured with glue and some grain swelling (due to repeated contact) was repaired with nails. Factory side writing, typically applied when a bat was returned to the factory to be used as a template for future orders, was hand lettered on the side however it is no longer visible. It should be noted that this bat is not specifically recorded on Sisler's factory records and bats sent to him during this time period (1922-25) are usually (38) to (45) ounces.
