Description: 1947 Jackie Robinson photograph-Contract Purchased by the Dodgers (PSA Type I). Rare original 7"x9" black and white image taken on April 10, 1947 picturing the manager of the Montreal Royals (Clay Hopper) shaking hands with Robinson after his contract was purchased by the Dodgers. Robinson would make his Major League debut just five days later at Ebbets Field changing the course of history. Condition is superlative with minimal age/handling wear/ The reverse is equally clean retaining its original Associated Press paper identification labeling.
