Description: Fine Babe Ruth Boston Red Sox photograph c.1919 (PSA Type I). Notably rare original image picturing a young Babe Ruth posed in Boston Red Sox uniform leaning against a bat on the field. The photo measures 3 5/8"x5 7/8" having small creases at top right and bottom left corners (professionally restored at bottom left) with a lighter horizontal partial crease across the top that does intersect with Ruth's face. Back is blank. Composition and quality are uncommonly strong for this early Ruth image which are among the most sought after of their type.
