Lot Number: 38

Description: 1906 World Series program (at Cubs). Original program issued for game played at the West Side Grounds is unscored. One of only a handful which we have handled from this Series which was won by the White Sox against their cross town rivals. The piece would benefit from professional restoration and the covers are presently secured together along the bound edge with tape. Additional wear includes a heavy vertical fold/crease which has split on the bottom of the front cover from the bottom extending up around an inch. Front also has a small spot of residue near the top edge. There is some additional creasing to the back cover which has a 1952 date stamp applied by noted early dealer Goody Goldfaden. Interior pages have varying degrees/types of wear with most likewise secured at one edge with tape. Many have small tears or other damage resulting from having been stuck together in areas. An exceedingly rare offering and despite noted condition issues it remains a suitable "place holder" for what can otherwise be a prohibitively expensive early World Series program: PR, see description
