Description: 1972 J.R. Richard autographed Houston Astros professional model road jersey (one year style) Road gray jersey has "Astros" team name across the zipper closure front. Number "50" appears on back below the name "Richard" which has been expertly restored. On the left sleeve is an original orange and aqua embroidered logo patch, the only year that this style was used (and only on road jerseys). Spalding tag is in the tail along with year ("72") and size ("44") tags. Signed on the lower front in marker rating 7 out of 10. Use and wash wear are evident throughout. While he saw limited time on the mound in the earlier part of his career Richard would go on to become one of the premier National League pitchers of the late 1970s.
