Description: Rare 1962 Aaron Pointer Houston Colt 45s professional model home jersey (Last Professional .400 Hitter)(SGC/Grob: Excellent). Cream color flannel jersey from the defunct Houston franchise whose uniforms are among the most desirable of any from the era. Iconic orange and blue embroidered "Colts" team name and pistol insignia adorn the front of the jersey with "55" on the back. Wilson tag with size 44 indicator found affixed to the tail front. Very fine condition with evident use/wash wear throughout. Two small areas of surface loss to the orange border of the "55" on back noted for accuracy. Pointer was the last professional player to finish a season (Minor League in this case) with a .400 average and enough qualifying at bats. One of the scant few examples having come to market in the last 30 years. Includes LOA from SGC/Grob (Excellent): EX
