Description: 1939 Johnny Mize All-Star Game presentational wristwatch. Lord Elgin brand timepiece has "Johnny Mize All Star Games 37 - 39" hand lettered on the face and it has been engraved "John Mize All-Star 1939" on the back. Marked "I.W.C. Co. 14K" and in semi-working order but would benefit from servicing. Band is presumably a replacement. In a Hall of Fame career which spanned 1936-1953 Johnny Mize would appear in a total of (10) All-Star Games. The 1939 season was one of his best in in baseball hitting a career high .349 with (28) homeruns and he finished second in the voting for National League MVP.
