Description: 1972 John Hannah University of Alabama "Best Senior Offensive Football Player" trophy. Visually appealing trophy stands a full 22" tall with figural football player atop handled cup on wooden base. An engraved metal placard on the front reads, "Bama Theater U. of A. Athletic Trophy, Presented To John Hannah, Best Senior Offensive Football Player, Year 1972." Hannah was a consensus All-American that year which was the last in which he played under Legendary Coach Bear Bryant who proclaimed, "In over 30 years with the game, he's the finest offensive lineman I've ever been around." A member of Alabama's All-Century team, Hannah won a pair of conference Championship while at the school and would join the New England Patriots as a starter in 1973. Touch of light wear.
