Description: John Hannah autographed 1973 College All-Star Game helmet. Desirable helmet was issued to John Hannah for use in the July 1973 College All Stars vs. Miami Dolphins game which took place at Solider Field before more than 54,000 fans. White shell has blue stripe and red star decorations and the number "73" applied on either side. "MacGregor" marked padding remains on the inside and the original facemask is secured by replacement clips. Strong use is evident throughout including scuffs and scrapes. There is some loss to a number of the applied decals and the number "3" on one side has loosened. In an image of Hannah taken during the game it appears that a portion of one of the stars on the front is missing which is consistent with the star in this same position on the helmet currently. A highly desirable game helmet emanating directly from the Hall of Fame player to whom it was issued.
