Description: Bill Russell’s Personal 1957 Topps #77 Rookie card from the Russell Collection. Important Rookie card issued by Topps in 1957 was for decades part of the subject’s personal collection and proudly displayed in the included vintage Lucite frame. That very frame beautifully preserved the card in outstanding original condition with well registered image positioned very so slightly off center on card which has little to no mentionable wear. Graded "NM 7" by PSA and encapsulated with "Bill Russell Collection" pedigree noted on the holder. Russell rookie cards, by any measure, are among the most sought after basketball cards of the era with scant few presenting in high condition grade. Based on the direct provenance to Bill Russell’s personal collection and the superb condition the offered card must be considered among the finest of all existing Russell rookie cards.
