The inaugural award for Lifetime Achievement was presented to Bill Russell for his incredible career on the court and for his contributions of the court to society as a whole. Striking cast brass figural trophy with basketball figural at top encircled with multi-layer concentric rings. NBA insignia panel affixed to the columnar support with inlaid gold on black titling at base panel, "2016/17 Lifetime Achievement Award Bill Russell". The award measures 15" tall and presents in outstanding original condition. Very fine and important award which serves as a testament to Bill Russell’s legendary career and standing within the history of the NBA. The award is accompanied by its original gold lidded custom fitted box.
