Description: Bill Russell "Sports Illustrated…Athlete Who Changed The Game" award and related signed photograph. Presentational piece stands approx. 16.5" tall featuring a pair of figural hands holding a garland/wreath atop black plinth base. A metal placard on the front has a "Sports Illustrated 20th Century Sports Awards" logo and "Athlete Who Changed The Game, Bill Russell" text. The Ceremony, which took place in December of 1999, was a televised event which played host to some of the most notable figures in modern sports history. Among those honored were Russell, Michael Jordan, Muhammad Ali, Jim Brown, and Tiger Woods. Includes 16"x20" group photo of notable event attendees which has been signed "Bill Russell" in marker (9 out of 10, photo has vertical wrinkles/folds throughout), event program, auction LOA from JSA, and certificate of provenance from Bill Russell: Award NM, Sig.
