Description: 1971 Bill Russell Sport Magazine "Top Performer" trophy with related material. Large figural trophy stands 21" tall with the handled cup engraved "Sport Magazine, Top Performer in Pro Basketball, 1946-1966." A band around the base reads "Bill Russell." Includes an original program to the December 6, 1971 event and a blue "Sport" sheath that housed the program and series of photographs taken that night. Total of (7) black and white 8"x10" images taken at the ceremonies including three rare photos picturing Russell with fellow honoree Jackie Robinson (from same series as others in this auction graded PSA Type I). Trophy features strong visual appearance with some restoration including several repairs to the columnar support and several areas of re-plating.
