Description: 1955 Bill Russell All-Northern California First Team trophy (NCAA Championship Season). Original award presented to Bill Russell as a member of the University of San Francisco Dons team that captured their first NCAA championship. Two toned Bakelite base with inscribed brass placard and figural player measures 11" tall. Placard is inscribed, "All-Northern California First Team 1955 Bill Russell U.S.F." The Bakelite base has a repaired crack with small chip missing from one side. Remainder of trophy is original as presented with figural player having been replated. Dodge Trophies metal nameplate fastened underneath the base. Notable early career award dating to Russell's first NCAA title season.
