Hall of Famer Pud Galvin is at the right end of the top row holding a baseball. Others are tentatively identified as Tom Dolan, Jack Allen, Bill McGunnigle, Bill Crowley, Dave Eggler, Steve Libby, Chick Fulmer, Denny Mack, Davey Force, and Trick McSorely. Substantive baseball photography dating to this seminal period in the games' history is exceedingly rare and the offered example ranks among the very best pieces to have surfaced with regard to both image quality and inclusion of so noted a figure as Galvin.
