Description: Rare 1933 Chicago White Sox professional model home jersey with c.1934 pants. Cream colored flannel jersey with blue accented collar and sleeves has a visually striking "Sox" logo on the left front chest. In the collar is a Wilson tag along with size "44" tag and there is an outline below of an additional which is no longer present. The year "33" is embroidered in the front tail. A strip tag above reading "Dykes" is not original to the jersey. The number on back (which at first glance appears to be Dykes' number "5") is actually a "2" which is affixed upside-down and backwards. It is unclear if these alterations were done by the team many years ago or by a more recent owner of the jersey whom attempted to make it appear as one which was issued to Dykes. The jersey retains outstanding display value with the original team logo and shows use and some mild age related wear. One button is missing. Included for display are a pair of pants which are likewise by Wilson (size 38) and have a "Pomorski" embroidered strip tag in the waist (vestiges of an additional strip tag can be seen above suggesting that these were likely re-issued from an earlier season).
