Description: Fine Babe Ruth professional model baseball bat c.1933 (PSA "GU 8" Newly Graded Example). Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with Ruth facsimile signature in the barrel measures 35" long and weighs 36.3oz. Uncracked with nice use evident throughout including ball/contact marks on the hitting surface (which has a touch of other light wear noted for accuracy). A small mounting hole in the handle has been expertly repaired. A "Powerized Pat. Pending" logo beside the centerbrand pegs manufacture to 1933 specifically and the specifications match factory records for that year. It has been authenticated by PSA and assigned the grade of "GU 8" placing it within an elite population of highly regarded examples. Though in the twilight of his storied career Ruth did not disappoint in 1933 when he batted (.301) and added (34) home runs to an already impressive career total. He would star in the first All-Star Game in baseball history that summer when the inaugural event took place in Chicago and fittingly hit the first home run in All-Star Game history. Includes LOAs from Hunt Auctions and PSA/DNA (graded "GU 8"): EX
