Description: 1951 Allie Reynolds New York Yankees professional model home jersey (World Championship season). Classic pinstriped home jersey as worn by Yankees star pitcher Allie Reynolds during the 1951 Yankees' World Championship season. A.G. Spalding Bros. manufacturer's label affixed inside collar along with size 46 and dry cleaning tags. "A.Reynolds 51" chain stitched onto the tail front. The jersey had been subsequently sent to the Minor Leagues as evidenced by vestiges of team name across the front with a beautifully restored "NY" insignia as well as a restored (vintage) 1951 AL Anniversary patch. Reynolds number "22" is original to the jersey and remains in place on the back of shirt. Evident moderate use with very fine visual presentation qualities.
