Description: 1912 L1 Helmar Leathers #131 Tris Speaker. Desirable oversized (approx. 10"x14") leather premium issued by Helmar in exchange for coupons packaged with their "Turkish Trophies" line of tobacco products. The coupons could be exchanged for a T3 Cabinet Card (10-15 coupons), S81 Silk (20-25 coupons), or an L1 Leather (35-50 coupons). This trio of premiums are among the most sought after tobacco related issues in the hobby and the L1 Leathers are by far the rarest. Strong eye appeal with the image remaining as bold as the day it was applied. A pair of angled creases in the lower front are visible when viewing from the front but are not distracting.
