Description:Large bead weld spider style baseball catcher's mask with rare visor c.1890-1910. Very uncommon and desirable spider style mask with large bead weld design. Situated within the upper portion is a cloth visor which appears original to the mask. This is the first mask of this type we have seen with a visor and it is likely among the earliest to have incorporated one into its' design. General use and age related wear throughout with the strap frayed in one area and a section of leather missing in one pad. No visible markings: VG
