Description: Joe Nuxhall bronze by Tom Tsuchiya - a small scale representation of the full sized original which sits outside the Great American Ballpark. Tastefully executed work is based on the original which stands outside the Reds home venue. Nuxhall is shown as a Rookie (wearing number 43) when he earned the distinction of being the youngest player in MLB history taking the mound at age (15) in 1944. Signed within the work by the artist and dated twice ("2003" when the work was initially completed and "2011" when we suspect this piece was cast). In addition there is a personalization from the artist etched in. To the best our knowledge this was never a production piece made available to the public and it is likely one of only a handful which are in private hands.
