Description: Outstanding 1976 Frank Robinson Cleveland Indians professional model road uniform (Team letter - SGC/Grob: Superior). Red knit jersey has "Indians" team name across the front and "Robinson 20" on the back. On the left sleeve is a team logo patch and on the right is a rare "Spirit of 76" patch. A "Wilson" tag in the collar notes size (42). The number 20 on the reverse has been replaced quite possibly by the team in the period given its source/team letter. Name lettering also has some residual stitching outline which may denote similar replacement but has been deemed original by Dave Grob/SGC. Pants are likewise by Wilson (size 35) and have a "20 35 26" embroidered strip tag in the waist (denoting player number, size, and inseam). Very well preserved with light evident usage and wash wear throughout. Sourced directly from the team and includes a pair of letters (one each for the jersey and pants) from the Indians gift shop and the original 1979 dated receipt from the time of purchase. Robinson had made history the season before becoming the first African American Manager in Major League history.
