Description: 1961 Walter Alston Los Angeles Dodgers professional model road jersey with 1964 pants (Ex Newport Sports Museum Collection). Grey flannel jersey and pants as worn by noted Dodgers' manager Walter Alston during the 1961 campaign. Grey flannel jersey retains its original "Los Angeles" blue felt team name across the front along with red number "24". Reverse has number "24" in blue felt. Tail front displays Spalding manufacturer's label with size 46 tag and chain stitched "Alston 61" in blue. Interior tail retains Dry Clean tag and "Set 1 1961". Matching pants are included which are tagged with Rawlings label, Set 1 1964 flag tag, and chain stitched strip tag "Alston 38/37 27ins". Evident use throughout with no mentionable defects. The uniform originated from the collection of the Newport Sports Museum and was de-accessioned in 2014.
