Description: 1971 Bob Gibson St. Louis Cardinals professional model home jersey. White knit pullover style shirt retaining its original embroidered "Cardinals" insignia across the chest with "45" in tacke twill below. "Gibson" tackle twill lettering affixed to the back along with "45" number. Proper Rawlings manufacturer's tagging found inside the tail front with size 44 indicator. Additional dry clean and "Set 1 #8P 1971" tagging also inside tail front. Jersey exhibits excellent use and wash wear including appropriate "puckering" to letters/numerals. The "Gibson" name lettering on the reverse has been professionally restored from its original lettering. Few areas of light/moderate staining to shoulder areas. Jersey front is autographed by Gibson in blue sharpie. Rare and very fine Gibson game jersey dating to the first season in which the Cardinals wore knit uniforms.
