Description: Important Armando Marsans and Rafael Almeida autographed real photo postcard c.1911. Sepia toned real photo postcard marked "Bachelor Studios…Cincinnati" on back showing the pair of Cuban born players whom debuted together with the Reds on July 4, 1911. Though credited with being the first Major League players born in Cuba they were pre-dated by Chick Pedroes but remain highly significant figures of early 20th Century baseball. Both are posed in street clothes and each has signed in period fountain pen. The Almeida signature rates 7-7/8 out of 10 with Marsans, whom has added the year "1911" below his autograph, rating approx. 4/5. Lightly toned with a touch of wear that includes a visible upper corner crease. Displayed in 9.25"x11.25" frame and secured to the matting with conservation tape that could be removed by a professional if so desired.
