Description: Johnny Bench "1976 World Series Hero" trophy. Choice display piece stands just shy of 19" tall and has a figural catcher atop handled trophy cup and (4) figural batters on the 10.25"x10.25" wooden square base. "Johnny Lee Bench" name is engraved on a metal placard which sits just above another which reads "1976 World Series Hero, Sixth Annual Kansas City Baseball Awards Dinner, Presented January 29, 1977." A Kansas City Royals logo is engraved on the front of the trophy cup as the event took place in their hometown. En route to the Big Red Machine claiming their second consecutive World Series title Bench hit .333 in the NLCS and an impressive .533 with a pair of clutch home runs in the World Series.
