Description: Important 1990 Barry Larkin World Series presentational trophy. Highly desirable original trophy as presented to Barry Larkin as a member of the Cincinnati Reds for their 1990 World Series victory over the Oakland Athletics. Trophy is an exact variant of the World Series trophy featuring brass pennants with team names around the perimeter of a large brass circle with a crown finial. Athletics and Reds enameled World Series press pins facades adorn the center area with "World Series Champions Cincinnati Reds 1990 Barry Larkin" in black lettering on the front. Balfour metal labeling affixed to the base . Larkin was instrumental in the Reds World Championship batting .353 in the four game sweep of the A's. Minor surface wear and patination noted for accuracy only. The offered trophy is without question the most significant example from a 1990 Reds player to have entered the marketplace. Additionally, Larkin is the only player from the 1990 Reds team to have been inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame with no other likely future candidates from the team.
