Description: Important 2016 Vin Scully Los Angeles Dodgers scorebook (Final MLB Broadcasting Season). Original spiral bound custom made score book as utilized by Scully during his final season as broadcaster with the Los Angeles Dodgers. Interior features fully scored heavy stock pages for all (81) Dodgers home games including opponents. Each page is meticulously hand scored by Scully including player names, team names, umpires, pitching changes, and other varying notations including game attendance. Several notable games are preset within to include: April 12, 2016 game vs. Diamondbacks which was Scully's final home opener; May 12, 2016 game vs. Mets in which Clayton Kershaw set MLB records with 5 consecutive starts with 10+ K's and no more than 1 walk; June 20, 2016 game vs. Nationals in which Kenley Jansen broke Greg Gagne's franchise save record; July 6, 2016 game vs. Orioles with Chase Utley having 6 hits; September 25, 2016 vs. Rockies with Dodgers clinching their 4th consecutive division title; and historic October 2, 2016 game vs. Giants which was Vin Scully's final Major League Baseball broadcast. Final general condition with expected handling wear and detached back cover. The offered scorebook is notably significant as being from Scully's final MLB season but also incredibly scarce as according to Vin he did not retain the other scorebooks he used from his lengthy broadcasting career. Scully simply started with a new scorebook each season and discarded the previous season's book which only magnifies desirability of this example. Wonderful and unique chronicle hailing from the greatest broadcaster in the history of the game. Includes letter of provenance from Vin Scully: EX
