Beautiful period rendering of the Pulitzer Prize winning photo by Nat Fein capturing Babe Ruth on June 13, 1948 making his final farewell to his loyal fans at Yankee Stadium. Sepia tone 8+x10+ photo printed from the original negative by the New York Herald Tribune from the original Nat Fein negative. Superb clarity and contrast with some minor surface wear including some soiling at bottom center. Back is stamped with New York Herald Tribune exclusive copyright. Front of the image is signed by legendary boxer Jack Dempsey and Nat Fein himself each personalized to Mrs. Dorothy Barry.
