Description: Scarce 1903 Boston Red Sox and Royal Rooters World Series photograph. Incredibly rare albumen mounted image depicting the Boston Red Sox team posed at Pittsburgh during the inaugural 1903 World Series . Boston players are positioned seated in front row wearing full uniforms including Hall of Fame members Cy Young and Jimmy Collins . The famed "Royal Rooters" of Boston led by "Nuf Ced" McGreevey are visible seated and standing behind the players. Image size measures 10"x14" remaining affixed to its original cabinet mount. Photo quality presents in superb original condition showing excellent clarity, contrast, and composition. The original cabinet mount is trimmed with about 1/4" around the edge remaining has some typical perimeter wear including very small corner chips that do not effect the display nor integrity of the image. Pencil notation on the back noting "Boston Rooters at Pitt 1903". One of only two examples we have encountered.
