Description: Wilcy Moore attributed professional model baseball bat c.1922-1925. Louisville Slugger 125 model bat with "Moore" block lettered in the barrel measures 34" long and weighs 38.4oz. Uncracked with outstanding use throughout including some grain swelling which is secured with a pair of vintage nails. Just to the side of this area is a small chip. "H.M. Thomas 10-1-24" is written on the side in factory applied grease pencil. Thomas was a member of the Boston Braves in 1924 and Moore was playing in the Minor Leagues. The included PSA letter notes "the subject bat has been attributed by the owner to Wilcy Moore...without further documentation we cannot place the bat with Wilcy Moore." Moore lead the American League in ERA as a Rookie with 1927 New York Yankees, one of histories most noted teams. Includes LOAs from PSA/DNA and Hunt Auctions: EXEstimated Price Range: ($500-$1,000)
