Description: 1948 Mario "Babe" Picone New York Giants professional model road jersey. Grey flannel jersey retains its original "New York" black and orange lettering across the front with #43 on the back. MacGregor Goldsmith (1946-52) manufacturer's tagging inside the collar along with "Picone 43" chain stitched. Small chain stitched tag inside the tail with "1 48" chain stitched set/year tag. Very clean general condition with light overall wear. Picone was up and down with the Giants Major League team between 1947 and 1952 wearing several numbers including the offered "43" which he was likely issued for Spring Training of 1948.
