Description: Rare Bobby Doerr professional model baseball bat c.1943 (H&B Vault Marked/Side Written)(PSA/DNA GU 10). Virtually unimprovable example of a Doerr game bat in the form of a vault marked Louisville Slugger 125 model bat measuring 35" long and weighing 33.8 oz. Bat shows superb use including ball marks, stitching impressions, cleat marks, and vestiges of three tape rings on the handle which were later removed. Model number"D34VM" is impressed on both knob and barrel ends which occurred on February 15, 1943 at the Louisville Slugger Factory. Additionally, the bat displays factory side writing of, "35 Bobby Doerr-2-15-43-Bost Amer Lg.". One of only a small population of documented Doerr game bats and almost certainly one of the finest to have been offered. Includes LOA from PSA: EXEstimated Price Range: ($3,000-$5,000)
