Description: Fine 1929 Philadelphia Athletics team autographed presentational album from Lefty Yerkes. String bound album (7.5"x12") is gilt lettered "The World's Champions Baseball Club of 1929 To My Friends" by photographer H.Madonna Wagner on the cover. It contains a significant group of (27) autographed 5"x8" sepia toned studio portraits of A's team members and officials. Notables include Jimmie Foxx, Mickey Cochrane, Connie Mack, Al Simmons, Thomas Shibe (owner), Eddie Collins, Kid Gleason, and Lefty Grove. Fountain pen signatures rate 7 to 9 out of 10 and there is some mild general handling and storage wear (primarily affecting the covers). A few of the images are loose (could be reattached if so desired) and given empty pages it appears that two or three have fallen out. Those of players Suma and Haas have tape stains at corners. One of the premier Athletics related pieces from their Championship era as presented to team member Lefty Yerkes.
