Description: Willie Mays contact proof photograph by William Jacobellis c.1950s (PSA/DNA "Type I"). Striking sepia toned 4"x5" photograph offering exceptional clarity shows Mays during his 1951 Rookie season in uniform with a National League 75th Anniversary patch on the sleeve. The image was later used by trading card companies in production of several of his iconic cards including 1954, 55, and 56 Topps and 1954 Bowman. "William N. Jacobellis" stamp (along with a handwritten identifier) appears on the back. Wear is confined to the edges and there are pinholes to the extreme corners.
