Description: Important June 13, 1948 "The Babe Bows Out" photograph by Nat Fein (PSA/DNA Type I) - An exceedingly rare and fully documented original (Fein Family letter). Crisp 10.25"x12.75" sepia toned photograph remains in fine overall condition with little mentionable wear. On the back is a "Photo by Nat Fein, Staff Photographer, New York Herald Tribune" stamp. In outstanding overall condition with no mentionable wear. One of the most poignant baseball related images ever taken it has been called "the most celebrated photograph in sports history" by The New York Times and LIFE Magazine named it one of the greatest pictures of the twentieth century. Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA ("Type I") and a letter of provenance from the Administrator of the Nat Fein Estate confirming it was the photographer's "personal copy": NMEstimated Price Range: ($50,000-$75,000)
