Description: Scarce Babe Ruth professional model cleats c.1920-30s. During a career which spanned twenty two seasons, and stands as one of the most celebrated and storied in all of American sports history, Babe Ruth cemented his indelible mark upon the game of baseball. Displaying unprecedented abilities to hit the ball with power that had not previously been seen The Sultan of Swat captivated the American public and single handedly ushered in the era of the home run. No other figure in the history of our National Pastime has had so dramatic and lasting an influence. During our twenty seven year company history we have been privileged to handle a number of the very finest quality pieces of Ruth game equipment however, the offered pair represent the first of their type; impeccably sourced cleats. To the best of our knowledge, these cleats represent the sole piece of the Ruth game equipment to have originated directly from the family and offered for public sale. Black leather cleats of the highest quality each having the size, "9-E", noted on the tongue stamped in block letter and are otherwise unmarked.
