Description: Very fine Babe Ruth New York Evening Graphic presentational award by Julio Kilenyi c.1927. Substantive bronze placard affixed to mahogany wooden plaque as presented to Ruth in recognition of his second consecutive "Distinguished Service to the Cause of Clean Sports" award. The plaque measures 11"x16" retaining its original patina with minimal handling/age wear. Bronze placard is marked "Kilenyi" at bottom right indicative of noted sculptor, Julio Kilenyi (1885-1959). One of only a scant few original Babe Ruth presentational awards to have been offered publicly with the majority housed within the Hall of Fame collection.
