Description: Babe Ruth's personal 1929 World Series press pin with its original cardboard backing. Original enamelwork press pin as issued for Babe Ruth in attendance of the 1929 World Series between the Chicago Cubs and Philadelphia Athletics. Ruth, as he often did, was in attendance as a guest of his promotional manager Christy Walsh as indicated on the cardboard backing along with -Babe Ruth+. The pin retains its original threaded post backing with screw down fastener. Cardboard backing measures 2 3/4+ tall with a few tiny creases. Includes a modern copy of a period image picturing Ruth standing with Hack Wilson at the 1929 World Series wearing an identical (and quite likely actual) pin.
