Description: 1960 Dick Groat Pittsburgh Pirates professional model road uniform with likely World Series use. Vest style jersey has "Pirates" team name lettered across the front and number "24" on back. "MacGregor" tag in the collar notes size ("42") and there is a "Set 1 1960" flag tag on the inside front tail. Pants are likewise by MacGregor (size 34) and have "24 34 25" embroidered strip tag and "Set 1 1960" flag tag inside. Use and some general age related wear is evident throughout. There in one small hole on the front of the jersey (between "I" and "R" in team name) and a handful on the upper back shoulder. An outstanding representation as relates to Groat's finest year in baseball and the Pirates Championship season and being offered for the first time. Identical in nature to other Pirates documented 1960 World Series uniforms which were know to have been retained by the players with their home sets after the series.
