Description: 1957 Billy Pierce "Pitcher Of The Year" trophy. Period piece with figural pitcher at the top has engraved metal placard on base front which reads, "The Outstanding Baseball Pitcher Of The Year, 1957, Billy Pierce Chicago White Sox, Presented by The Touchdown Club, Inc..." Stands approx. 16" tall with some light natural tarnish and wear. It appears that an additional square of wood which served as its base is not longer attached.
