Presentational certificate as given to Pierce in recognition of his (20) win season and "vital contribution to the Pennant fight of the White Sox." Done on 16"x20" parchment stock with hand colored accents, it is displayed within the original 21.5"x21" wooden frame. Light wear evident throughout. The prestigious and significant honor is one of the oldest continually awarded in baseball's history and pre-dates the Cy Young Award.
