Description: Scarce Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Jimmie Foxx autographed 1934 Tour of Japan photograph. Original sepia tone image taken during the famed 1934 U.S. Tour of Japan picturing the three most feared sluggers of the 1920-30s era posed in full US All-Star team uniform. Each player has signed their respective image in black fountain pen with Ruth rating 6 overall (due to fading in last name), Gehrig at 8/9 and Foxx at 8/9 out of 10. The image is inscribed at the top by Tour umpire John Quinn. Image size measures 4"x6" with some areas of light surface soiling and a few surface wrinkles retaining fine photo contrast. This particular signed image is one of the most coveted of its type from the Tour isolating the game's greatest sluggers. The narrow window in which this items could have been signed in the period coupled with original scarcity of the image itself contribute to its high desirability and mark the offered image as one of only two known of its type.
