Description: 1961 Roberto Clemente National League Batting Championship presentational trophy. Very attractive figural mahogany wooden trophy as presented to Clemente in recognition of his 1961 NL Batting title. Plinth style base with wooden center column having figural brass loving cup with baseball batter finial in a bronze wash. Brass placard affixed to the central column inscribed (in Spanish), "Civic Sports Club of Urb El Comandante Inc. to Roberto Clemente Champion Batter National League 1961". Fine original condition and appearance standing 18" tall with light patination to the bronze finish surfaces.
