Description: Roberto Clemente ceramic matador with related ceramic mold and supporting documents c.1960-70s. Original painted ceramic matador as made by Roberto Clemente through his study and practice of ceramic arts. Figural stands 11" tall with some very minor paint chips. Stamped "Atlantic Mold" under the base. The lot also includes an original chalkware ceramic mold for a very similar matador figural. 18" square with some light handling wear. The grouping includes a selection of period documents and paperwork related to Clemente's ceramic artwork including a 1969 letter from Skutt & Sons regarding an order of supplies. Unique and interesting pieces with relation to one or the many talents possessed by Clemente outside of the game of baseball.
