Description: Important 1949 Jackie Robinson All-Star Game professional model baseball bat (MVP Season)(PSA/DNA "GU 10")(MEARS A10). Historically significant bat as issued to Jackie Robinson for use in the game played at Ebbets Field during his National League MVP Award winning season. It was a banner year for Robinson who claimed a batting title and led the Dodgers to the National League Pennant. His selection to the N.L. All-Star Team was resounding with 1,891,212 votes cast by fans allowing him to take a rightful place alongside the greatest players of the era. Though his team would lose the effort, Robinson did not disappoint knocking in a pair of runs in the first inning. Louisville Slugger 125 model baseball bat has Robinson facsimile signature impressed in the barrel along with "All Star Game" and "Brooklyn 1949" text. Model number "S100" is factory stamped in the knob and the bat measures 35" long and weighs 35oz. Evident moderate use is visible including ball marks, stitching impressions and cleat marks at various points on the barrel. One of the finest Robinson pieces we have handled with provenance that can be sourced directly back to Jackie's personal collection as originally disbursed by his widow Rachel.
