Description: Significant 1934 Lou Gehrig All-Star Game pendant from his Triple Crown winning season. On the heels of the first Major League Baseball All-Star Game which had taken place the previous year in Chicago, the elite players of the game gathered once more at New York's famed Polo Grounds. An amazing total of (28) future members of the Hall of Fame were among the American and National League participants and pitcher Carl Hubbell would go down in history striking out Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig, and Jimmie Foxx in succession. Gehrig would go on to have one of the finest offensive seasons in his career winning the American League Triple Crown. Handsome presentational charm is engraved "Lou Gehrig" on the back above "D&C" (Dieges & Clust) and "10KT" markings with engraving font and Dieges & Clust hallmarks identical to several other documented All-Star charms of the same issue. Light wear including some minor scratching to the back. One of a scant few documented Lou Gehrig personal award pieces to have been publicly offered: EX/MT
