Description: Scarce football figural candy container c.1890-1900. Two piece candy container in the form of a figural 19th century football player wearing full uniform inclusive of leather belt. 7" tall with painted bisque porcelain head and arms having yellow painted dog ear style helmet. Light to moderate surface wear to the head, arms, and feet including some paint wear. Repair to one small ankle crack. Figure once separated at the waist area to reveal the paper mache interior candy receptacle but has since been secured: VGEstimated Price Range: ($400-$600)
